After a long process of external reviews, Gorilla 3PL is celebrating the achievement of ISO 9001 certification. This marks a commitment to quality for customers, supply chain partners and colleagues.

Andy Gregorek, managing director of Gorilla 3PL, explained, “Building trust is important to us, but we know that process takes more than words. Achieving ISO9001 was an important goal that gave us certification to show our commitment to new and existing clients while allowing us to identify gaps and develop our existing processes.

“In addition to the large refurbishments to our offices and a busy summer event calendar, attaining ISO9001 certification has certainly kept the team busy. However, the insight it provided has helped streamline our processes for maximal efficiency and consistency”

ISO9001 was created to help organisations of all sizes to improve the quality, ecology, safety, economy, reliability, compatibility, efficiency and effectiveness of their products and services. The internationally recognised standard specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS) to ensure businesses are meeting customer and regulatory requirements.

To qualify for certification, the Gorilla3PL team needed to demonstrate that its services fit for purpose throughout the process, including:

  • Leadership and people involvement – staff appraisals, management structures, maintaining staff training and certification.
  • Process and safety –  first aid, manual handling, premises safety, fire marshall and equipment checks.

“What’s next for Gorilla 3PL? We will keep moving forward to achieve ISO14001 before the 2025 summer events season. We have already made strong progress through our environmental initiatives including integrating solar power, EURO6 vehicles and more. ISO14001 will play an important role in learning how to monitor our carbon footprint and continue to reduce our overall impact,” Andy concluded.
